The second season of Cougar Town will have the premiere on 22 September 2010. The new season will have 20 episodes with four shorter than season 1.

Jennifer Aniston will guest-star on the Season 2 premiere of the ABC sitcom, the network announced Monday. Aniston will be the second Friends alum to appear on Cox’s show, following Lisa Kudrow, who played a dermatologist last season.

Aniston will play Bonnie, a shrink Jules (Cox) sees, who is “kind of a get-too-involved-in-her-life-type of therapist,” executive producer Bill Lawrence told Entertainment Weekly.

“Those guys are so close in real-life they kind of do that for each other anyway,” he adds. “Bonnie has the life Jules wishes she has.”
